Promoting Social and Economic Development Among Rural Communities
Vanavil Social Welfare Development Trust is a non-governmental organisation registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, on 30 November 2005, with Registration No. 173/2005. The organisation is committed to empowering rural communities, with a primary focus on women’s development, education, environmental protection, and sustainable rural development. Managed by a dedicated five-member Board of Trustees, Vanavil has implemented various integrated rural development initiatives in the most backward and underserved areas of Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, and Thanjavur districts. The Trust works to improve the lives of villagers, rural poor communities, marginal and small farmers, children, and persons with disabilities by providing opportunities, support, awareness, and sustainable solutions that promote dignity, inclusion, and self-reliance.
